Tierra Callada is a family-owned company rooted in the olive groves of Jaén, southern Spain.
We produce estate-grown, early-harvest extra virgin olive oils from our own trees and in collaboration with small producers who share our values of sustainability, quality, and traceability.
Our family has cultivated olives for generations. Today, we continue that tradition with a hands-on approach that allows us to oversee the entire process — from harvest to bottling and direct import into the U.S.
We’ve been based in Brooklyn for over ten years, acting as a trusted bridge between Spain and the U.S. market. As active members of the North American Olive Oil Association (NAOOA) and participants in its Extra Virgin Alliance, we uphold the highest standards of quality and authenticity recognized on both sides of the Atlantic.
Beyond production and import, we see olive oil as a cultural product that deserves to be understood. We actively promote education through guided tastings, chef-focused workshops, and presentations at renowned culinary institutions like the Culinary Institute of America (CIA).
We were also honored to participate as invited experts at the foundational congress of the Yale Olive Institute, helping develop educational content and foster deeper appreciation of olive oil. Additionally, we proudly support philanthropic events such as the Autism Speaks Celebrity Chef Gala.
